At Muddy Pawz HQ we have been doing some thinking about how we can help our Dog Squad members. Coincidentally, I found out that one of our Squadies is doing something incredibly selfless. This was a light bulb moment. Muddy Pawz Dog Squad members possess the same qualities as dogs. And as dog lovers we know that this is a great achievement because dogs are selfless, unconditional, loyal and caring. Who wouldn't want to have these fantastic qualities?!
Mick is the Dog Squad member that I am writing about. He has selflessly volunteered to raise money for a charity and he is doing this by slogging it out and running a half marathon at Run Melbourne 2018 and what makes this even more awesome is that he has been training with his Kelpie, Atti (pictured). This my friends is a true Dog Squad member! Training with your dog to reach a fitness goal and raise money for charity. Bravo Mick!
At Run Melbourne, Mick is running a massive 21.1km and has been pushing through training for this event whilst managing 2 kids, a full time job working shift work and back issues, not to mention a Kelpie that's nearly impossible to keep up with! Mick has decided to take on the challenge and achieve this goal to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS). For those who don't know, the RFDS uses the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology to provide emergency medical and primary health care services to anyone who lives, works or travels in rural and remote Australia. The RFDS relies on donations and support of every day people like us to keep flying and saving lives. Without the RFDS rural and remote Australians would not get the emergency medical care they require.
With the requirement of donations to keep the RFDS in the air, Mick is seeking contributions through the fundraising platform Every Day Hero and selflessly states "Its' not for me, it's for RFDS. Think of those poor, sick people who need your support to make their lives a little easier." Mick shows true grit, strength and resilience in striving to achieve a massive fitness goal so that he can raise funds to help support a dedicated life saving Emergency Service that helps every day folk living in rural and remote Australia.
Mick, you're not just an Every Day Hero, but you're also every dogs hero by displaying such pawsome qualities and because of your selfless act, Muddy Pawz would like to assist in donating 50% of profits made on any purchase at The Muddy Pawz Fit Dog Shop until you complete your run on July 29 2018. We hope this can help you reach your target and hope that others will click the link below and donate to show their support also.
